| In 1983, the United States Congress passed into law a benefit, which enables patients coping with a life-threatening illness the opportunity to receive specialized care through a hospice Medicare benefit. This bill also provides supportive services to the families for patients. Hospice benefits are provided under Part A and in no way affect Part B coverage, or your relationship with your primary care physician. |
